You can enter to win eBooks from www.YouCanMakeThis.com and learn some fun new techniques, tips, and ideas not only for the people on your list, but also creative ways to decorate your home!

You Can Make This has created a free download for some fun gift tags. Each of them coordinate with ideas found as part of the DIY Gift Giving Series videos that can be found at www.youcanmakethis.com/blog , as well as designs and patterns found at www.SWAKembroidery.com and www.YouCanMakeThis.com.

You Can Make This and I have teamed up to bring you an awesome set of e-books for TWO lucky winners. The Kimberbell Kids Doll pattern and the Gift Giving clothes are great for little girls to cherish forever. I made these last year for my niece and some others, and they still play with them this year. I plan on finishing up a few more this year for charity. They are great!

To enter do one or all of the following:

2. Become a follower on my blog.

3. Write about this giveaway on your blog, facebook or twitter page and leave me a link to it. If you write all three, leave separate links to each and it will count as one entry.

Contest will run from 12:01 am EST Dec 13 thru 11:59 pm EST Dec 18. Two (2) winners will be chosen using a random number generator on December 19th. You Can Make This will be in touch with the two winners with your ebooks. The files will be PDF's and you will need Adobe Reader to view them.

PLEASE LEAVE AN EMAIL SO YCMT CAN CONTACT YOU IF YOU WIN.

You can also enter to win hundreds of dollars in gift certificates just for watching the videos that are part of the DIY Gift Giving Series and answering a question on the You Can Make This blog!

Christmas is coming!!!

Christmas will be here before you know it and with that comes shopping all over again. It seems like it was just yesterday to me, does it you? This year has flown by as it always does when we get older. I like to shop on the internet a good bit to avoid the crowds and I have found some good deals so far.

Do you have to shop for clothes this year? Or how about baby toys? I have so many on my list this year to buy for. My oldest child loves to read books and is into stylish clothes. My two middle children, a boy and girl, are still into toys and are slowly coming into books. My youngest, well he still loves to play with all sorts of toys.

Maybe you have a baby coming soon or know someone who is expecting. This site also has a lot of nursery furniture as well as infant clothing. I think you will find just what you are looking for with this site. Have fun and happy shopping!

Birth Announcement Rag Quilt/ Wall hanging

A dear friend of mine had her miracle baby a couple of weeks ago. I wanted to do something extra special for her so I waited to make her blanket until after he was born. His nursery was done in a dirt track theme (Grandpa is a race car driver at the local track and Daddy is into it too) so I knew I had to make the blanket using some racing flag fabric. The back is a blue flannel with race cars all over it. It has all of his info on it so it makes a birth announcement wall hanging or blanket for the little guy. She loved it and I do too. I think this is my favorite so far.

Rag quilts, pillows and receiving blankets Oh My!

Custom ladybug rag quilts with matching pillows. I used Cluster Stuff for the pillows. Let me tell you that is the best stuff since sliced bread! I've had pillows made with regular fiberfil before and this new stuff is awesome. It doesnt clump or bunch in the wash, bounces right back when you press it, and is hypo-allergenic.

They also had some receiving blankets they wanted cut and made into a larger quilt for the baby bed. Here is the before:

And here is the after:

The one on the right is folded in half, I promise its bigger than what is shown. The large one is backed with pink minky dot and the smaller one is backed with a pink faux fur. I had a time doing them (they were 4 way stretch knit) but in the end they turned out so cute and cuddly for a little one!

Money Bag and Flower Bag- Pleated

I had wanted to try a pleated bag for a while. Well I finally did. The first one was the flower bag. Love how it came out but wanted a flat bottom. So the Money bag was the next pattern I tried. I think they turned out cute!
