Tracing the roots..

My husbands family roots has always been important but we were not able to find any information past his grandfather. Well, by chance, we were looking at a genealogy message board and some very distant cousins were talking about the same line my husband is from. We have learned so much over the last few days from emailing a few people and researching using Ancestry.com on our own. We have spent a whole day in the local library trying to see what we could find. It has been so fun! Best part of it is today we are meeting a cousin of my husband. She has been researching the family for over 25 years and has so much information. We are super excited to meet her and find out more info! Oh gotta go.... we'll be late!

Awesome!! I have been doing genealogy for about 8 years now. Two years ago I lucked out and found a distant cousin that has several thousand people in the tree-too cool. I even had another cousin that I met form California that sent me pictures of my great-great grandparents. My mommy mia blog has some genealogy info in it.
