New Georgia Bulldog Rag Quilt
8:02 AM Posted In Dawgs , Georgia Bulldogs , quilting , sewing , UGA Edit This 12 Comments »I have been diligently working on this Georgia Bulldog rag quilt for a baby shower. It turned out quite well if I must say. The printed squares are cotton while the rest of it is flannel. Makes it even softer for baby's skin. It consists of the top layer, a layer of warm and natural batting, another layer of flannel to help the ragging process and the back is a Georgia Bulldog printed flannel as well.
This one shows it all wrapped up and ready to go. I embroidered it will the little one's name and birth year so it is more personal. The quilt is small enough for baby up until maybe 6 or 7 months until they are mobile but after that can be used as a great wall hanging.

How cool! I love that it is reversible,,nice detail!
This is an awesome quilt. I use to make them a long time ago. My grandma showed me how when I was little and now when I see quilts I think of her. Have a great day!

That's a neat quilt that I'm sure will be cherished for years.
I've only made 2 quilts in my life, both the same, and I know the work and love that goes into making one. You have a talent.

Wow that looks great! I wish I was more crafty, or had the time for it.

Thanks for reminding me, I haven't made a rag quilt in a long time. Actually, my sewing machine has been very neglected lately!
This is beautiful! You should start an etsy store and sell your quilts, if you don't already. I am sooo jealous of you, lol.
I have some relatives in Georgia...I need to send your blog to them so they can check your quilt out. It is way tooo cool!!!

That is amazing! And what a keepsake! I do love quilts.. and I fear I will always be on the outside watching all of you create such works of art. I wish I had the time, and talent - I have neither! :)
You are so talented! The quilt looks like it turned out great, and you packaged it up so nicely.
That will be something she'll hold on to for a very long time.

So cute! I have wanted to learn to quilt for many years now! I meant to drag out my untouched sewing machine over the weekend, but I got too busy...maybe next weekend.
Oh that is cool! Ya know what else is cool? I left you an award at my site! Stop by and pick it up.

I just saw a TV show where the police found on a routine traffic stop some idiots who didn't have their kids in car seats. Incredible!
